*Ribbit*

Let's try this again. What happened you ask? I have no effing clue but I know I was doing something seriously wrong when I was knitting the wrong side on the right side and vice versa. Didn't I tell you Argosy could be tricky when you're easily distracted? I frogged it back to where I thought I could save it but it was no use. OK...send the good vibes people...good vibes.

Argosy: The beginning

The current project that I am working on is Knitty's Argosy scarf pattern. It's a tricky pattern if you're not paying attention. I am making myself finish it before I move on to the next project. HA! Who am I kidding, right? I have no restraint. It's a very light scarf, better used for when it gets chilly on a late spring night.

I started it about 2 weeks ago and put it aside to finish up Clapotis. I am doing the Noro Silk Garden Lite Version and chose color 2017. So far I like the yarn color so much better than what I used for Clapotis. I know I loved the color when I started Clapotis too so maybe I shouldn't get too excited about this colorway either. I'll wish for the best anyway.

Clapotis: DONE!!

TAAA DAAAAAA!!!

Started: December 9, 2006

Finished: January 20. 2007

I would've finished this in less than a month if I didn't have those last minute Xmas gifts to knit up.

Mana seems to like it. He wouldn't move. I think I'll like it better after I block it. Right now...not so much. It actually looks better in the pictures. It's also a little shorter than I like it when used as a scarf. I should've made one more increase to make it longer. Maybe the blocking will help stretch it out.

I bought 6 skeins of Noro Silkgarden and it took a little over 5 balls to make this with size 8 circular Addi Turbos. This leaves me with a lot of yarn left that I don't know what to do with.

I'll try blocking it tonight. If I ever do this again, I'll plunk down the big bucks and use yarn that the pattern called for.

I must knit this. He's super adorable. Another thing to add to my list of future projects.

Clapotis Update #?: Will it ever end?!

My Clapotis is coming along. I've got one last ball of Noro to go. I've been working on it on and off over the weekend. I'm too lazy to post a pic right now. I think I'll wait until I'm completely done with it before I post it again. I've got less than 100 rows to go.

We had dinner with Bubba's family tonight and I brought my knitting with me. Everyone reminded me to keep it out of reach before we sat down for dinner. I didn't want a repeat of what happened last time his niece got a hold of my knitting. From the look in her eye she wanted to get her little hands on it.

OK...back to work while I watch Brothers and Sisters. EEEEE!!! The blonde guy who played Samantha's young boyfriend on Sex in the City is in this episode. Nice...

Almost halfway done

Pretty pretty colors against my flannel polar bear bed sheets. :/ Shut up! So what if they're juvenile! They were on sale when I got them and a girl needs to keep warm in the middle of winter.

So far I have used 2.5 balls of the Noro Silkgarden. WOO! This all better be worth it. For some reason I'm not all that thrilled about the colorway of the yarn. It's pretty, but I really should've held out for the red shade I wanted. At this point the pattern is very repetitive. This section I am working on now I have to repeat 12 times and I'm only on repeat 6. AAAHHHH!!!
